Silent Retreat: Aug. 30 -Sept. 1

Our Silent Retreats are a great support for coming to the simple taste that you exist. That might sound like something we already know, but with the constant mental noise that most of us are consumed by, we rarely have an actual experience of being present. Now you have three days devoted to just that. Since this is a holiday weekend, you may even have another day off once you return home, which is a great way to digest and prepare for life.

You'll experience meditation, yoga asana, Breema: The Art of Being Present, playfulness, poems, delicious and vital vegetarian meals, time in nature and more... . Dave and Alana Pratt will lead the retreat, and they ask that you read all of the details below if you are interested in attending. The itinerary is also posted at the bottom of this page.

All the Details:

Registration/Payment: You must register for this retreat in advance and the rates before tax are: $400 for a single room in the house/$320 per person for a shared room (two people) in the house, $320 per person for camping (your tent) and $430 for one person lodging in the pond cabin or $335 per person if two people stay in the pond cabin. Rates include everything mentioned in the paragraph above; lodging, classes and meals. Attendance: Your full participation in this retreat supports you yourself and the rest of the group. We ask that everyone join us for the entire retreat. Please be seated in the classroom five minutes prior to the start of each session.

Silence: Participants will observe silence throughout the retreat. If there are any exceptions to this, clear guidelines will be given at those times.

Meditation: Most meditation periods will include sitting and walking meditation. The forms we will use are easy to follow and will include guidance as needed.

Meals: Meals will be vegetarian with an emphasis on organic and local ingredients.  Both vegan and gluten-free options will be offered at each meal. With registration, you will have an opportunity to let us know of any food sensitivities or concerns.

What to bring: Meditation Cushions and yoga mats will be provided, but, if you have your own, please do bring them.
