We’ll explore the connections between sound and silence as we delve deeply into the practice of Vedic Chant and also embrace intentional periods of group silence.
We’ll balance movement with stillness as we dedicate space and time to/for both asana practice and seated and walking meditation.
We’ll come together for nourishment as we share meals, conversations,
hikes and, of course, some fine Peruvian chocolate!
***This will be a very small group retreat (maximum 7 participants).
About Alana:
Alana has been co-leading retreats at True Nature Holistic Retreats in Millersburg, Ohio with her husband Dave since 2011.
She is an experienced yoga instructor with a rich background in both meditation and Vedic Chant. Alana has been offering both group and private yoga instruction at True Nature since 2010 and has been teaching Introduction to Yoga courses at The College of Wooster since 2011.

Alana first discovered the practice of yoga while a college student at The College of Santa Fe (Santa Fe, New Mexico) in 1997. It was then and there at the age of twenty-one that yoga became an integral practice “for life” for her. Having been diagnosed with a very serious disease as an adolescent and relapsing in her early twenties, a practice “for life” was exactly what she needed.
Alana is continually amazed by and grateful for all of the many ways yoga sustains and supports her life on a daily basis.
